The lateral cuneiform (foot bone)
Lateral cuneiform · os cuneiforme laterale
A wedge-shaped midfoot bone between the cuboid and the other cuneiforms.
What it does
The lateral cuneiform supports the base of the third metatarsal and links the inner and outer columns of the foot. With the other two cuneiforms it forms the stone-arch shape that runs across the middle of your foot.
