Marrow stands on the work of people who chose to share. Thank you.

3D anatomical models

The 3D body is derived from two open projects:

Z-Anatomy also includes and adapts: "Brainder" and "White matter" (University of Washington); "Cranial Nerves and Foramina" by the University of Dundee, CAHID (CC BY 4.0).

Female body

The female body is derived from the HuBMAP Human Reference Atlas: Kristen Browne and Heidi Schlehlein, 2023, 3D Reference Organ Set for Female (United, Female v1.5), doi:10.48539/HBM352.BTSQ.586 (humanatlas.io, github.com/hubmapconsortium/ccf-releases). Licensed CC BY 4.0.

We chose which parts to show, renamed them, stood the figure on the floor, and simplified and compressed the meshes. Our derived versions are licensed CC BY-SA 4.0.

What we changed

We converted the Z-Anatomy FBX exports (commit 6c7f901) to glTF, renamed parts to stable identifiers, merged small parts into groups (for example, all ribs as "ribs"), simplified the meshes, and compressed them with meshopt. The pipeline is public in our repository (pipeline/).

Excluded on licence grounds: inner-ear models from the University of Dundee, licensed for non-commercial use only (CC BY-NC-SA), because Marrow accepts supporter payments.

Licence of the derived models

Our derived 3D models are licensed CC BY-SA 4.0, like their sources. You can download every one of them from the downloads page.
