A cube-shaped bone on the outer side of the foot, in front of the heel.
What it does
The cuboid sits on the outer edge of the foot between the heel bone and the bases of the fourth and fifth metatarsals. A groove underneath it carries the tendon of fibularis longus, which wraps under the foot to support the arch.
