The pyramidalis
Pyramidalis · musculus pyramidalis
A tiny triangular muscle at the bottom of the abdomen that many people don't have.
What it does
The pyramidalis is a small triangle of muscle in front of the lower end of the rectus abdominis, running from the pubic bone to the midline. It tightens the linea alba, the central seam of the abdomen. It is missing on one or both sides in a sizeable minority of people.
